Handout Hub was born partly out of a dream to create a virtual library of TEFL/ESL handouts and also because of frustrations with the limited range of TEFL/ESL supplementary resources available to most teachers. From staring at a whole wall of books and supplementary materials, to having to reinvent the wheel everyday, supplementing lessons can be a time-consuming process. Since most English teachers like us have been in this situation at some point in their work, and most of us use the same books where ever we go, we decided to create this site.
If you're tired of cutting up pages of grammar dominoes, confused by handouts based only on pictures, annoyed with teacher's books that have none or simply unusable materials at the back, or in need of a lead-in or a grammar speaking task because the book doesn't have one, then you're in the right place. All of these issues conspired to have created a plethora of supplementary handouts that could be used at multiple levels across a range of English course books.
Our other motivation was the desire to 'do better' than our ESL handout paper and online PDF counterparts by creating professional, pedagogically-sound supplementary ESL worksheets that would get students using the target language of the day. During several years of teaching English in different countries, we have honed a successful approach that is based on improving students' speaking and writing skills in English. Combined with some humour and creativity along the way, students everywhere appreciate out TEFL handouts.
So whatever you're teaching today, we at Handout Hub are sure you'll find bundles of worksheets to supplement with in your TEFL/ESL classroom. There are over one thousand downloadable PDF resources, organised into convenient categories so you can search and browse by grammar point, vocabulary focus, course book chapter, skill, lesson stage and more. From card games to board games, crosswords to writing tasks, and structured speaking tasks to free speaking debates, we guarantee you a massive range of pedagogically-sound TEFL/ESL resources.
